How We Rank Heroes
This tier list is built from documented hero guides on Last Asylum Guide — not speculation. Each ranking weighs four factors that matter in real gameplay. PvE performance covers boss fights, plague zones, and wave-clearing efficiency. PvP burst potential measures how quickly a hero can delete an enemy squad in alliance wars and arena. F2P investment efficiency asks whether a free-to-play player can realistically max the hero and see returns. Faction meta reflects which hero classes dominate after the first Capital War.
Tier labels follow a simple scale. SS heroes are broken at max investment and define the meta. S-tier heroes are excellent in their role and worth heavy investment. A-tier heroes are strong but outclassed by S-tier options in the same slot. B-tier and below are viable only in niche comps or early game before you unlock UR heroes.

Ranger Faction Meta Note
Early game, Warrior heroes like Arthur are solid picks. However, after your first Capital War, the Ranger faction becomes the dominant meta — Rangers counter the widely-used Warrior faction. Even with a 1–2M power disadvantage, a well-built Ranger squad can beat a Warrior squad. Four of the five heroes on this tier list are Rangers: Marlena, Shadow, Harper, Zoya, and Daskal.
If you are still in your first week, read the first 24 hours guide for faction transition advice before over-investing in heroes you will outgrow.
SS — Broken
MarlenaUR
DPS · RangerA lethal Energy DPS carry who combines relentless AoE burst with self-buffing mechanics. Marlena's compounding damage system — passive Energy amplification, ATK self-buff, and a 5-hit ultimate — makes her one of the most efficient maxed heroes in Last Asylum: Plague for PvE bossing and PvP burst compositions.
Marlena is broken-tier at max investment. Her compounding damage system — passive Energy multiplier stacking on top of Crimson Bloom's self-ATK buff and Tenacity — means damage scales exponentially, not linearly. At 914,868 power she deletes bosses and dominates PvP burst comps. Invest heavily, upgrade Crimson Bloom first, and time Peerless Blade inside the ATK buff window.
S — Excellent
ShadowUR
Tank · RangerA lethal frontline fighter who combines high Physical DMG output with AoE debuffs and strong defensive passives. Shadow's unique mix of DEF shredding, burst damage, and Energy DMG mitigation makes him one of the most versatile UR heroes in Last Asylum: Plague.
Shadow is an S-tier damage dealer with rare DEF-reduction utility. At 1M+ power he is absolutely worth investing in, especially once Tenacity unlocks at Lv.30 and 8★. Pairs best with high-ATK teammates who can capitalise on his DEF shred.
DaskalUR
Tank · RangerA dominant frontline tempo controller who wins fights by denial, not damage. Daskal's DEF-scaling team shield, battle-start damage reduction, and built-in sustain through Deadly Pierce make him the most resilient UR tank in Last Asylum: Plague — enabling his entire team to outlast any burst composition.
Daskal is a tempo-controller, not a damage dealer. His double damage-reduction windows — Resolute Fight at battle start and Bloodshed Defense every 5.85s — make him one of the strongest tanks in the game once properly invested. Build DEF as your primary stat, unlock Tenacity at Lv.30, and pair him with high-burst DPS heroes who need time to ramp up. The strategy is simple: survive → shield again → sustain → win.
HarperUR
Support · RangerA powerful offensive support who amplifies the entire team rather than dealing damage himself. Harper's team-wide ATK buff, Energy DMG boost, and low-HP damage mitigation make him the premier buffer for burst compositions in Last Asylum: Plague — he doesn't win fights alone, but he makes every teammate broken.
Harper is S-tier offensive support at max investment. His team-wide ATK amplification via War Flute Sound — stacking with Warrior's Anthem passive and Tenacity — creates a compounding damage window every ~12s. Pair him with Energy DPS heroes like Marlena or any Warrior-faction carry for maximum impact. Use Harper when you have powerful damage dealers who need time and buffs to shine; avoid him if your roster lacks strong DPS to feed his buffs into.
ZoyaUR
DPS · RangerA multi-target Energy DPS carry who scales exponentially through critical rate amplification and AoE pressure. Zoya's combination of a 5-dagger ultimate, a sustained AoE whirlwind that amplifies all incoming Energy damage, and a passive +22% Crit Rate makes her one of the strongest PvE and wave-clearing heroes in Last Asylum: Plague.
Zoya is a top-tier S-ranked Energy DPS carry, especially dominant in PvE wave content and multi-target fights. Her damage scales exponentially late-game through Crit Rate stacking on top of the Mountain God Wrath Energy amplification window. Master the rotation — Mountain God Wrath first, then Forest Hunter immediately — and Zoya becomes one of the most efficient damage dealers in the game. Pair her with Harper for team ATK buffs or any Energy DMG amplifier to push her into S+ territory.
When to Pull or Skip UR Heroes
Every documented UR hero on this list is worth pulling if they fill a gap in your main squad. The question is not whether they are good — it is whether you can afford to max them.
- Marlena (SS): Pull if you need a primary DPS carry. She is the highest-priority UR investment for PvE bossing and PvP burst. Upgrade Crimson Bloom first.
- Shadow (S): Pull for DEF-reduction utility and frontline damage. Worth investing at 1M+ power, especially once Tenacity unlocks at Lv.30 and 8★.
- Harper (S): Pull when you already have strong DPS heroes who need team ATK buffs. Skip if your roster lacks damage dealers to feed his buffs into.
- Zoya (S): Pull for PvE wave content and multi-target fights. Pair with Harper for maximum Energy damage amplification.
- Daskal (S): Pull if you need a tank who wins through shields and sustain, not burst damage. Build DEF as your primary stat and pair with high-burst DPS.
