About Sanctuary

Priority: Highest

The Sanctuary is the heart of your base — its level sets the maximum level every other building can reach. Upgrading your Sanctuary unlocks the next tier of development for your entire city, making it the single highest-priority building to keep up-to-date.

Upgrade Tips

  • 1Always upgrade your Sanctuary first before upgrading other buildings — everything else is gated behind it.
  • 2Sanctuary upgrades require the most resources of any building, so stockpile wood, grain, and herbs before starting a push.
  • 3Use speed-ups on Sanctuary upgrades to break through to a new tier as quickly as possible.
